Founded at the end of the 18th century, Hidalgo is one of Jerez’s elite Sherry bodegas. This wine is from a single vineyard and bottled after about 12 years of age. Quite full bodied and fantastically complex, it’s full of smoky, roasted almonds and hazelnuts, plus a lovely hit of acidity.

DWWA 2018 Gold Medal: Beautifully elegant with complex almonds, expressive yellow flowers and dried green apple skin. Very well-knitted with a stunning salinity and a delicate finish.

A single-vineyard Manzanilla matured for 12 years and bottled en rama (only very lightly filtered), giving immense concentration and complexity of flavour balanced by mouthwatering acidity. Briny, yeasty and nutty, with floral hints on the beautifully textured, weighty palate that leads to a very long lemon zest finish. Superb!
