Toasty fresh citrus and raspberry on the nose, complex and fulfilling, with bruised apple, still-vivid citrus and savoury spice, finishing with honey-roasted nuts. Poised and long, with impressive layering. Residual sugar is a touch higher at 8.2g/l, offsetting equally high acidity at 8.3g/l. The 2015 vintage of the ‘Late Disgorged’ bottling spent 67 months on lees, with fruit sourced from clay soils in Appledore in Kent and chalk soils near Goodwood in West Sussex.
