History:
Cadet Piola gets its full title from the Piola family who acquired it 1856; until then it was known simply as Château Cadet. The estate sits high on the limestone slopes to the northerly edge of the town, and is today owned by Alain Jabiol. Jabiol’s négociant father bought the property in 1950. The vineyard is distinguished by its high percentage of Cabernet vines and is said to lie in one of warmest areas of the appellation.
