‘I am pleased that with Silvio Denz, I have found a buyer who is committed to continuity and has the abilities, the experience and in particular, the passion to successfully continue my family's work at Château Faugères,’ said Corinne Guisez, who has managed the chateau since 1997.
Château Faugères encompasses some 57ha of vineyard and is located 6km east of Saint-Emilion, between the Saint-Emilion and Côtes de Castillon appellations. Its annual production of Péby Faugères includes some 20,000 to 30,000 bottles per year, while Château Faugères and Château Cap de Faugères, considered among some of the appellation’s top labels, includes some 100,000 bottles each per year. Bordeaux oenologist Michel Rolland consults for the chateau.
‘Through an uncompromising approach to quality and smart investments, we want to further improve the calibre of our wines,’ Silvio Denz said.
