Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Rich smoky black fruits nose, some liquorice. Plump, juicy, sleek, concentrated, has good weight of fruit and enough acidity to perk up the palate. Yet it seems one-dimensional and lacking in nuances. A bit of a blunt instrument, solid rather than elegant. Quite good length.

Fresh nose, forward ripe fruit, quite tight palate, high acidity and gravelly palate. Young.

Well-concentrated nose of black berry fruits, fine richness of fruit on the palate, robust but with finesse to come, oak evident but blending in, good acidity and firm tannins, not quite knit together yet, but will be an impressive wine.
