Product:

Chateau Maurac, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, 2010

Producer:

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Sturdy plum and black cherry nose, a bit tarry and heady. Rich but slightly hollow, has this tarry tone, quite spicy and minty, a touch extracted but certainly has personality and some rough edges, though the acidity is lower than expected. Quite long.

Ronan Sayburn MS

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Sweet ripe nose, elegant cedarwood and cassis, rounded palate, tannins fine and gentle. Fresh beery fruit.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Dense ruby, young rim, fine Cabernet black fruits nose, good ripeness and already quite supple fruit, with tannins to keep it, good balance and depth, good future.
