Grape Variety:Pinot Noir

Product:

Vincent Girardin, Les Santenots, Vonlay 1er Cru, Burgundy, 2010

Producer:

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Crisp, ripe red fruit to smell; elegantly balanced, sweet cored wine with a fine tannin and fresh acidity. Fine ripe fruit, long in the mouth, very clear 1er cru class, and with excellent fruit persistence. Fine quality, long term, complete in its more muscular, Santenot style.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Good deep colour, young rim. Fine expression of black summer fruits, cherries and blackcurrants on the nose, lovely sweetness of fruit on the palate and while the oak is still present and tannins are firm on the finish, this is a wine with very good fruit, texture and structure and has a very good future.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Pronounced and attractive hedgrerow fruits and new wood on nose. Exuberant, woody and very tannic, but remains fruity and fresh through to the finish.
