Asda, Extra Special Marques de Portola Rosé 2014
A blend of Grenache, Pinot Noir and the indigenous Catalan variety Trepat, this juicy rosé opens with a bright cherry fruit aroma which is hard to dislike. More cherries appear on the palate alongside a balancing, crisp acidity. The mid-palate is hit by a wave of red fruit and black pepper, with a hint of clove and cream appearing on the finish. Quite a brash style, but all the better for it.
