Katsunuma Jyozo, Aruga Branca, Brilhante 2013
Katsunuma Jyozo was founded in 1937. This Champagne method sparkling wine under the Aruga Branca label has a yeasty, brioche nose with a chalky, oxidative character and some light citrus notes. On the dry palate, citrus and yuzu fruit is joined by a spicy, herbaceous edge alluding to wasabi. It is aged on its lees for a minimum of 24 months, gaining a soft and refreshing character with a chalky, yeast-driven finish.
