Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Ripe blackberry and plum nose, with some coffee tones. Quite rich and suave, with ample juiciness and concentration, but the oak gives some hard edges and a lot of tannin. So it’s a bit raw now though it doesn’t seem over-extracted

Very commercial style with a lot of concentration of black fruits. Alcohol very generous.

Enjoyably retro nose of cedar, mint and eucalyptus. Good sense of fruit and structure but pleasantly traditional. I like this herbal, more restrained style.
