Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Dumb nose. Very rich, has broad shoulders, hefty but succulent, with a lot of tannin and more swagger than finesse. A bit of a bruiser but the alcohol is just about in check. What it lacks is some acidity and freshness, leaving it one-dimensional and rather chunky on the finish. Long.

This wine shows an intense range of ripe black fruits followed by notes of coffee and caramel. Alcohol well controled.

A hint of port in the nose. Powerful and alcoholic. Bit much for me.
