Château d’Alix 2014

The plots for this wine were bought in 2008 by the Belloc family of Château Brondelle in Graves, with the first vintage of red appearing in 2012 and white 2013, 50/50 Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon. This is tightly structured, there is vibrancy and forward direction to the fruit, 80% new oak, which is maybe a little too high for vines with an average of five years of age, but an estate to watch over the next few years.
