Château Seguin 2014

Subdued on the nose, this is fairly high extraction 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 14%abv. Relatively high alcohol for the year and you feel the extra push on the extraction that it gives, alongside the silky mouthfeel. Modern, firm, black fruits dominate, good structure but a little clunky. 50% new oak, with transfer into barrel done after malolactic in tanks.
