Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Vibrant juicy wild berries on the first nose. Strawberries coulis and summer fruit concussion! Soft and gentle palate. Easy drinking and well balanced overall. Refreshing acidity with a long cherry finish.

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Paler, youthful crimson/plum. Good freshness and fragrance of cherry and plum, touch of eucalyptus. Clean. Medium intensity with ripe fruit flavours backed up with liquorice notes. Fair balance and length.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Bright red. Delicate nose of sweetly spicy red fruits. Then more sweet ripe red fruits, with hints of tobacco and undenrush. Lovely long finish: not a blockbuster, but a very well-made, juicy midweight Barbera. A whiff of alcohol is apparent at the back.
