Long neglected by producers and consumers alike, Sancerre rouge is going through something of a renaissance thanks to a new generation of producers such as Mathieu Delaporte, who joined the family-run domaine five years ago.  He has elevated their entire range to another level and this delicate Pinot Noir is perfumed with raspberry and redcurrant.  A light bodied, finely textured wine is nevertheless succulent, mineral and very food-friendly.
