Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Morello cherry and violets, and a touch of Viognier-like flavours on palate. Dry tannins, lovely texture and a wine to age. Slightly overworked for my taste.

Deep ruby colour. Dusty, earthy nose. Full, round, rich palate, compact, tannic muscle, great long fruit, integrated acidity, powerful opulent finish.

Dense youthful colour, sweet / savoury black fruits fragrance and equally opulent, powerful sweet cassisy fruitiness on the palate supported by quite chunky, muscular tannins and bright, attractively savoury fresh acidity. It’s quite big and chunky but there’s lots of fruit.
