Earthy, autumn leaf nose, tar and bitter herbs. Glossy alcohol, but under-ripe tannins. Finish low acid but concentration. Soupy.

Sweet, rather comforting nose highly fruity and spicy. Big, confident red, assured with ripe fruit. Big big wine – big tannin and high acid, lots of concentration and intensity of flavour. Ticks the Riserva box but doesn’t engage brain. A bit of a jock.

Very attractive, blood orange, spice, hazelnut, some savoury tones, ripe, expansive palate, some obvious oak but balanced by fruit, medium acidity, sounds winemaking destined to please a broad spectrum of the population.
