Tasting: Soave

Dark straw gold. Winter melon, cinnamon, guava and rosewater. very ripe style of Soave. then creamy and sweet (plenty of residual sugar here) with fresh acidity on the medium long finish. Big wine but could use more fruit, and less acid, spice and tannin.

Full lemon gold. Rich, ripe, mature and creamy with scented, even minty, melon fruit aromas. Creamy melon and ginger flavours and a mineral finish. Lovely nuanced finish of juicy ripe pears and ginger mint. Lovely.

Tasting: Soave

Some citrussy and even raisiny character. Rather too high alcohol. Raisiny flavours too – does not speak of Soave. Clean, balanced but very atypical. Not to be recommended.
