Tasting: Soave

Bright dark yellow gold. Intense vanilla on the nose, hints of underbrush, cinnamon. Similar flavours on the palate, clean long but tannic and dry at the back. Much better with food.

Unctuous ripe, wax and honey aromas over full melon fruit, touches of mint and sherbet. Lively palate with juicy fruit flavours and mineral, oaky and waxy notes. Could still develop.

Light golden colour. Distinctly waxy/creamy character on the nose with intense concentration. For sure has some oak ageing here. Light marmalade touch on the finish. Surprisingly pleasant for its somewhat mature style. Suggest drinking now – but could surprise and last for some time!
