Tasting: Soave

Bright pale straw. Complex nose hints at flint, white pepper, white stone fruit and mint. Then very austere almost tight, with delicate fruit flavours and a high acid mouthfeel. Needs time.

Pale silver straw. Rather closed but full, gingery and herbal fruit aromas underneath. Big, full and rich with butterscotch and melon flavours; round and full with impressive mineral notes emerging. Tails off a little.

SO2 and damp flannels. Leesy. Light spritz on the tongue. Lean, stalky and stretched out. Dislike. Drink never.
