Tommasi, Le Volpare, Soave Classico, Veneto, 2011

Le Volpare

Score

86
  • Drink: 2012 - 2016

Manufacturer:

Tommasi

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Soave

Bright straw. Pear and almonds on nose. Rich creamy dense maybe not the most refined Soave but lovely glycerol, almost tannic texture.

Michael Garner

Tasting: Soave

Pale lemon straw. Zesty and herby with citrus peel notes. Ripe and full with ripe peachy flavours. Hint of saffron. Quite full-flavoured but on the heavy side; lacks a little lift.

Jane Hunt MW

Tasting: Soave

Light herbaceous, grassy nose with hint of acetone showing youthfulness. Crisp, dry, light fruit. Not much depth but well made and typical of Soave – should not be too expensive.
