Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Like most of these 2011s, a deep rose in colour. Some fresh, earthy fruit on the nose. On the palate, ditto. Good effort, though there is so little flesh that you won’t want to wait longer than 10 minutes to drink.

Savoury nose, roasted cherry pie, precise fruit with nice acidity and freshness. Some elegance and soft toasty flavours on the background, and lovely bright aftertaste in mouth.

Smoky, toasted oak and light strawberry nose. Elegant on the palate with a light structure. Simple, fruity and light.
