Gamey, farmyard-like funkiness. A fully mature wine with some good features, but does need to be drunk up soon.

Quite oaky, with berry fruit behind, very classic. Densely built, with elegant tannins, quite modern, not very characteristic of Bierzo. Nice finish, open.

Tasting: Bierzo Mencia

Dominant oak to the nose, roasted, nutty and smoky. Blackcurrant fruit, smoky, chewy, dusty tannins, fruit beginning to show its age. Long finish, balanced.
