Attractively fresh and vibrant black fruit character, densely saturated colour, firm fine grained tannic structure, a chalky, green-edged note spoils the picture and throws it out of balance. 2012 – 2014 15.5

Clean, slightly vinous. Medium body, nice fruit but very simple, not easy to be identified as Mencia. Drink now.

Tasting: Bierzo Mencia

Generous floral aroma, with violets, black cherry and a hint of mint. Palate is initially brisk and bold, but blossoms to rich, creamy texture, with notes of citrus. Tight green grip on the finish, a little short.
