Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Green-gold. Lots of lime fruit here: exuberant and charming. And on the palate too — if you want simple limey Chard, here it is in spades. There is some richness beneath as well; astute commercial winemaking.

Soft delicate nose, fruit is quite bright and citrusy. Needs time some. Lovely savoury aftertase and soft pink grapefruit.

Clean and crisp with plenty of ripe citrus fruit, very well integrated oak and long bright aftertaste. Quite a restrained style but very elegant.
