Devil's Lair

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale green-gold. Smoky oak over a zesty, almost nettley style of fruit. Intense, deep, zesty and zippy; another wine in which the acidity has been reined right back to squeezed lemon. In contrast to its peers in this flight, though, this wine has a creamy bass line to support and counterbalance that acidic intensity somewhat.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Luscious, deep, old school savoury nose, some polish on nose, very intense stone fruit in a loving manner, well controlled oak, great freshness and zing. Some fresh sea breeze here offering a salty freshness to the wine.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Rich and intense on the nose with pronounced tropical fruit character. Round and creamy but with lovely ripe citrus fruit like acidity. Med-long aftertaste.
