Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Jammy nose, boiled sweets.Medium-bodied, quite sleek in texture, less jammy than the nose but still has this boiled sweets character. Light tannins and acidity but there’s little depth or weight here, and the finish is a bit astringent. Medium length.

spicy, light Pinot fruit evolving already;
light fruit, elegant and balanced, gentle finish.

One of the paler colours. Quite austere nose, but the fruit does start to emerge. This is a leaner style, not as ripe as some, but the fruit is persistent and it works very well in its style.
