Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Mid lemon gold. Scents of tinned sweetcorn: not my favourite varietal cue. Light, slender flavours, almost with a grassy edge to the finish, as if it was a Chard-Sauv blend (I am not suggesting it is, by the way).

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Strong vegetal nose, intensity carries through, with rich ripe passion fruit, sweet grapefruit, rich texture but nose is overpowering for a 2010.

Pronounced smokey and flinty nose, with savoury notes. Bright red citrus fruit on the palate with spiky acidity and long aftertaste.
