Stonehedge, Reserve, 2009

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Smoky nose, a touch leathery, and showing a little premature evolution for young Cabernet. Soft, rounded, rather slack, lacks concentration and energy. Pleasant and easy-going but doesn’t have much typicity, and there’s some edgy acidity on the finish. Medium length.

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

A very ripe style of Cabernet; nose very sweet with a note of blackcurrant jam. The tannins are very well integrated and alcohol very well controlled. The wine shows a great complexity and finish.

David Motion

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Slightly restrained, almost stern nose. Fruit is present but a little one-dimensional.
