Score

  • Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
  • Drink: 2012 - 2015

Peter McCombie MW

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Smoke, dark fruit, hint of menthol, showing some development; smoky smooth fruit,a little dry on finish.

Christine Parkinson

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Ripe, sweet summer fruit aromas; powerful oak character, with cayenne, clove and vanilla all dominating the fruit, which is ripe and juicy but hard to find. Fresh acidity and supple tannins all promise better things, but the oak needs to drop away first.

Joanna Simon

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Very open, aromatic, sweet-perfumed nose. Cherry and sweet plum on the palate with hints of spice, chocolate and sandalwood and then a gentle fresh lift on the finish. Balance and length.
