Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Warm, fresh strawberries and cream, and the spoon, waiting… On the palate, this is elegant, smooth, urbane and long. Everything is perfectly proportioned; the oak is well integrated. Just a little bit quiet and calm and sorted; a slight lack of excitement to it. But once again this is to be picky with what is an exceptionally well-crafted wine.

Quite taught on the fruit, this wine needs to age. Clean cut flavours, still evolving, delicate nuances of violets and soft cherries.

Intense and pronounced nose with notes of dark berry fruit and vanilla oak. Structured and juicy on the palate with lovely integrated oak and a long aftertaste.
