Bordeaux 2007: Union des Grands Crus tasting – Graves & Pessac-Léognan (red)

For the red wines of the Left Bank, writes Steven Spurrier, it was the slower-ripening Cabernets that held all the cards. While the majority of successes are to be found in Pessac-Leognan, Saint-Julien and Pauillac, the 2007s cannot in my view be assessed by communes, but by individual châteaux.
