Bordeaux 2008 en primeur – Saint-Julien

With a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Saint-Julien was, with Pauillac, the most favoured commune in the Médoc. The natural density of fruit was heightened by a freshness of expression, and each château was very much in keeping with its own vineyard style. One or two disappointments, but overall an impressive range. Steven Spurrier
