The next wine up from its basic Viognier, and a definite step up in quality – thanks mainly, winemaker Louisa Rose says, to wild yeasts rather than organic viticulture, though that obviously contributes. Her tasting note of honeysuckle, fennel and apricot nectar is spot-on. It’s widely available, and very fairly priced.

Upfront, generous aromas of ripe mango, apricot, peach and some flaky pastry - quite a blousy wine, but it has good intensity and presence, with commendable length and good purity of fruit. A little minty, with spice and herbal tones on the finish. Made with organic grapes and fermented with indigenous yeast.
