For those looking to try something different, Austrian reds can be a great alternative to Beaujolais and Pinot Noir, often softly fruited and with modest alcohol. This blend of half Zweigelt and half St Laurent spent a year in second- and third-use 300-litre French oak barrels, and is bursting with juicy red berry, damson and cherry primary fruit flavours. Very easy to enjoy, fresh and focused.
