Owned by the Bollinger family, Langlois-Chateau has made a name for itself by producing consistently good value Crémant de Loire wines. This Cabernet Franc-dominated rosé is made from vines planted on chalky-clay soils, using handpicked fruit. Crémant is made by the traditional Champagne method, and this ages on lees for at least 18 months in the company's extensive network of cellars. An attractive pale rose in the glass, this is fresh and easy, with tangy red berry and peach aromas and flavours. The 14g/L residual sugar does not feel excessive, and this harmonious wine is a good-value option for those who like a sparkling rosé but can't afford Champagne.
