A classic example of Pouilly-Fumé, showing expressive, ripe tropical, gooseberry and citrus fruits with a nice flinty, mineral edge and racy acidity. Tesco's Finest Sancerre, also made by the family winery Fournier Père et Fils, is equally as good for £14. This is a nice match for grilled chicken or goat's cheese.

More austere than the Finest Sancerre, which has a riper profile, this is an elegant and classic expression of Loire Sauvignon Blanc. Steely and smoky, it has good weight from 6-12 months ageing on fine lees with weekly batonnage. Pair it with seafood or young goat's cheese.
