Château de Vaux, Les Hautes-Bassières Pinot Noir, Moselle 2021

This Alsatian Pinot Noir makes for delicious summer drinking, sapid, crunchy and with fresh acidity. The oak influence is minimal, there are attractive aromas and flavours of red strawberry fruit and lifted spice, with good fruit purity and some density on the palate. The property has been owned since 1999 by a dynamic and enterprising couple, both winemakers, and they have established a tasting room where visitors to the area can sample their range of wines alongside local specialities.
