Cees van Casteren MW consultant, wine writer and freelance journalist. Started in 2003 for himself, after a career of 14 years at DSM most recently as business manager oenology in southern France. In 2003 was editor of the journal Thesis and collaborated on several other publications about wine. Writes regularly for both national and regional newspapers about wine and has a weekly column in De Gelderlander. Writes for various magazines and internationally for leading Meininger’s Wine Business International (country correspondent Netherlands).
Cees is also partner and lecturer at Liquid Assets to include courses from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). Twice won the Prix Pommery, the unofficial Dutch championships and tasting is twofold Vinoloog of the Year. In 2003 he was awarded the South Corp Writer’s Bursary.
In 2006 Ambassadeur du Champagne in the Netherlands. In November 2012 his dissertation was approved and was Cees van Casteren Master of Wine .In 2004 he published his first book, about rosé, published by The Spectrum, a co-author with colleague Magda van der Rice. In 2005 followed the taste for suits and later that year along with Magda van der Rice and Frank Van der Auwera also Bubbles . In 2006, The New wines from the New World (at the Spectrum) and Paradiso (about Chilean wine at Inmerc). In 2007 cookbook Cucina Catharina and in 2008. Just like wine connoisseur for Ventus publsihing . In 2010 Cooking with contrast at Inmerc and Wine Encyclopedia with Spectrum, the Dutch edition of the Oxford Companion to Wine.
2016 is Cees van Casteren MW first year as a judge for DWWA.
