Alexandra Mawson, with more than 16 years in the wine industry spanning the UK and Australia, has worked for independents and grocers.
She has been buying for Waitrose since 2015 and currently looks after their Champagne and Sparkling wines category, and is responsible for its range and commercial delivery. Mawson previously worked in Sydney, Australia for Cellarmasters & Langtons.
Mawson is also a Champagne academician, Dame Chevalier of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagnes and has featured in the Top 100 most influential in Drinks Retailing for the last 3 years. A WSET Diploma graduate (2009), she has been a Decanter World Wine Awards judge since 2019.
