Olivia Mason

Olivia Mason is the Senior Awards Marketing Manager at Decanter, looking after the Decanter World Wine Awards, DWWA Buyers' Report, Decanter Retailer Awards and Decanter's presence at international fairs and events.

Olivia holds her WSET Diploma, is a Certified Sommelier and has a BA (Hons) in Communication Studies. Before joining Decanter in 2019, Olivia worked winemaking vintages in California, Oregon, Australia and New Zealand, where she also wrote for online database Wine-Searcher. She also has experience working in the spirits industry with specialist drinks retailer The Whisky Exchange.

Olivia has a particular interest in fortified and Italian wines, and is currently completing the Italian Wine Scholar programme. Her favourite grape varieties and wines at the moment include Nerello Mascalese, Xinomavro, Sherry and Vernaccia di Oristano.
