Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Intense black fruit, very concentrated tannin-alcohol-acid palate, probably over extracted. Difficult now, but with prospects.

Sweet, nutty, leathery red. Feels more traditional in style with good weight and potential for food matching. The aromas and flavours are quite developed, if a little funky and feral.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Generous, almost spirity nose with masses of alcohol and very ripe tannins. Finish is short with the warming alcohol riding across the fruit and acidity. Modern and Hurculean but a little dull.
