Duc de Mouchy of Haut-Brion dies
- Tuesday 1 March 2011
Philippe François Armand Marie de Noailles, Duc de Mouchy, Prince-Duc de Poix was the second husband of Princess Joan of Luxembourg, widow of Prince Charles of Luxembourg and scion of the Dillon family, which bought Haut-Brion in 1935.
While Joan was president of Domaine Clarence Dillon, Philippe became managing director (only members and direct descendents of the Dillon family sit on the board).
Between them they acquired Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion, Château Laville Haut-Brion and Château La Tour Haut-Brion.
Prince Robert of Luxembourg, Joan’s son by her first marriage, became president of Domaine Clarence Dillon in 2008.
The Duc de Mouchy died yesterday morning, February 28.

The Duc de Mouchy was a man of great character and many stories. I will never forget him; he will be forever in my heart and memories.
Not to be finicky but I also want to make some corrections because the information on this site is not accurate. Prince Robert Luxembourg is Joan's son by her second marriage not her first and she also had a daughter by her second marriage, Princess Charlotte. In addition, Joan's first child, Joanie, was from her first marriage to James Brady Moseley, which was annulled in 1963. Her name is not Joan. Philippe was a family man with many grandchildren and step grandchildren who all love him and will never forget him.
I will never forget you Philippe!!! Love You always!!!

The Duc de Mouchy was Joan's third husband. Her first marriage took place on August 1, 1953 in Paris to James Brady Moseley. They had one daughter, Joan, born in 1954, and were divorced in 1955. The marriage was annulled in 1963.
