Singlefile

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale green gold. Very cool, whitecurrant or gooseberry-like fruit with a softly oaken cast overlaying it. Gentle, fresh, barely ripe but ripe nonetheless, with lots of green springlike zest to it. Vinous finish. A very well-crafted if super-cool-climate Chardonnay.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Soft tropical nose, full ripe tropical fruit, lingering on the palate. Lots happening here – needs time, and acidity needs to be balanced.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pronounced vanilla oak notes, white peaches and ripe nectarines. Big and bold on the palate with long ripe aftertaste. Simple and generous.
