Peter McCombie MW

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Meaty, savoury, composty; firm, lean palate, dry finish. 14

Christine Parkinson

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Earthy and ripe aromas, like sun on forest floor. Very savoury palate, with truffle, licorice and leafy notes, plus woodspice and black fruit. Tannins are suipple and acidity balanced. Finish is long, and full of spice and warmth.

Joanna Simon

Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir

Intense black fruit and slightly chocolaty nose. Dense, slightly chewy palate, just-ripe black fruit with spicy oak, but hasn’t really developed. Fresh and focused, but not very Pinot Noir.
