History:

During the early 1880s, long-time winemakers the Gurchy family combined three properites in the foothills to the north-west of Saint-Emilion into one domain, Laroze. They added a château and cellars a few years later. Today, the estate belongs to the Meslin family who are direct descendants. Under Georges Meslin the quality of the wine much improved and the land under vine was doubled. More recently, his son Guy Meslin has overseen extension renovations.
