Wine Tastings at The Wine Library
Over the years our wine tastings have proved to be an excellent way of entertaining clients or friends in an enjoyable and informative manner.
Blind Tastings - are designed to be informal and fun. Wines are chosen to fit your budget, (with or without your knowledge should you wish to take part!) - Normally four white wines and four red wines. We would then produce a questionnaire sheet of a multiple-choice format for guests to select grape varieties, country and vintage for each wine. A brief talk prior to the tasting will be given to advice guests what they should look out for.
Tutored Tastings - For clients or friends with a genuine interest in wine, these evenings prove to be the most enjoyable and memorable. Once again based around a selection of wines from our list, tailored to fit your budget.
The talks are designed to be interesting and informative with an element of fun, and may be pitched at any level, depending on the wine knowledge of your guests.
We can comfortably accommodate up to 35 people at our premises or tastings can be conducted at your own venue. The room is available between 6-9.30PM Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

About us
We are a family estate in East Sussex and one of the pioneers in the current English wine industry. We have been making award winning wines in this beautiful part of the Sussex Weald for decades. The vineyard was planted in 1971 by David and Linda Carr Taylor. Their son, Alex, took over as winemaker over 15 years ago, having gained experience in New Zealand and the States, as well as many years here on the vineyard.
Our Wines
We make award-winning traditional method white and rosé sparkling wines, a range of still white and rosé wines, and eight fruit wines. In the 2009 competitions alone, our Brut was awarded a Bronze Medal in the Challenge International du Vin, our Alexis received a commendation in the International Wine Challenge and our Ginger won a Gold Star in the Great Taste Awards 2009.
Our Services
We have a vineyard shop that is open from 10am to 5pm all year round. We offer guided tours, lunches and tutored wine-tastings for groups by prior arrangement. Self-guided tours and sampling is available without the need to book. We also have a website and can deliver to your doorstep.

Hermitage Single Estate Cognacs are unique. They are the brand name of Brandyclassics and are made by the very finest cognac producers. Every cognac in the range is naturally aged in oak casks until they reach their optimum condition.
