Champagne Pol Roger profile

Established in 1849, Pol Roger remains a family-owned and independent house. It is one of the smallest of the Champagne houses, with 87ha of vineyards in the Vallée d’Epernay and the Côtes de Blancs regions and 7km of cellars below the streets of Epernay.
But, Pol Roger has soundly established a name for producing some of the best Champagnes on the market.

Pol Roger’s top cuvée is named after Sir Winston Churchill and was created in 1975. Legend has it that Britain’s wartime leader consumed an impressive 42,000 bottles of Champagne during his lifetime.

Even in the 21st Century, Pol Roger has maintained links with the British establishment. Pol Roger NV was the official Champagne of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.

The Pol Roger range includes a style for most tastes and budget. Its portfolio includes non-vintage cuvées, the Pure Brut (no added sugar), Brut Réserve and Rich (sweet) as well as three other vintage Champagne labels: the Brut Vintage; Blanc de Blancs; and Rosé Vintage.
