While vintage Champagne may cost more than non-vintage, many say this category is the best value of all Champagnes, showing real personality and terroir. Out of 85 vintage Champagnes tasted, the 2003s didn't impress, the millennium vintage exceeded expectations but it was the 2002s plus the vintage category as a whole that provided the real talking point.
