What is Decanter Premium?

Premium is the subscription-only online arm of Decanter, offering a range of exclusive and valuable benefits plus world-leading content from acknowledged wine authorities. A Premium subscription allows unlimited access to Decanter.com and Decanter Premium articles, all 81,000+ wine scores and tasting notes, an online copy of the magazine via the Decanter Premium app, priority booking to all live and virtual Decanter Events and Masterclasses, access to My Wines and CellarTracker integration and quarterly Collector’s Guides. That’s still not an exhaustive list, as we are adding new features and benefits all the time.

How can I pay for Decanter Premium?

How do I use my discount code?
If you have been sent a discount code, please follow the below instructions:

1. In the top right hand corner of the site, click “SUBSCRIBE NOW”
2. Pick the subscription option according to the discount code/offer you have received
3. Enter your name, email address and password, these will act as your log in details to Decanter Premium, then click “Join”
4. On the payment screen, enter the code you have been given into the box and click “Apply”
5. Fill out your credit card details and press “Complete Purchase”
6. The subscription term is set to roll over; if you don’t want this to happen, don’t worry – it’s very easy to change it. Once you have signed up, log into your account. Click “My Account” in the top right hand side of the screen. Go to your subscription and click the toggle and select ‘Cancel subscription’ so it does not auto renew – you will still have access until the end of your payment term


Managing Your Plan

Where can I see my plan and price?
To see details about your current subscription plan simply log into your account then select “MY ACCOUNT” and then you will see your active subscription(s) in the first tab (Decanter Premium Subscription).

How do I know when I will be re-billed?
Log into your account then select “MY ACCOUNT”. You will see your active subscription(s) in the first tab (Decanter Premium Subscription) and a renewal date will be displayed, e.g. “Subscription renews on Jun 6, 2024 with MasterCard *xxxx”. You will also be reminded 3 days before a new payment is due via email.

How do I update my payment information?
To update your payment method first log in to your account then select “MY ACCOUNT”. Next, select the “Payment Methods” tab, here you can delete, add and update your payment details. Select “Save changes” to ensure your updates pull through.

How can I get an invoice for my Premium subscription?
To get an invoice for your purchase first log in to your account then select “MY ACCOUNT”. Next, select the “Payment & History” tab, here you can choose between the envelope icon to have the invoice emailed to you, or the download icon to download the invoice as a PDF.

To update the information on your invoice, simply go to the “Profile” tab and fill in the relevant details. Here you can add your VAT number, ensure you select the “Save changes” button after any amendments.

How do I cancel my subscription to Decanter Premium?
Your subscription is automatically set to roll over; if you don’t want this to happen, don’t worry – it’s very easy to change it. Once you have signed up, log into your account. Click “MY ACCOUNT” at the top. Go to your subscription and click the toggle and deselect ‘auto renew’ if available, so no further billing will occur and access will end on the payment date, or click “Manage” and then “Cancel subscription” to end your subscription immediately. If you have bought a Premium savings plan subscription then you may cancel or resume your subscription by clicking “Manage” and you will keep your access until the next payment due date.

Will I be refunded if I cancel?
You will not be automatically refunded if you disable auto renew or cancel your subscription via “MY ACCOUNT”. Contact support@decanter.com to request a full or partial refund depending on when you make the request. Our support team will advise.

How can I change my password?
If you are looking to update your password simply login as usual then click on “MY ACCOUNT”. Next, go to “Profile” and click “Change password”. Fill in the boxes with your current password followed by the password you would like to update it to then select the “Save changes” button. You can now log in using your new password.

How can I change my email address?
To update the email address your Premium subscription is linked to login in as usual then click on “MY ACCOUNT”. Next, go to “Profile” and click into the “Email” box where your current email address is. Update the email address in this box then select the “Save changes” button.


The Decanter Premium App

What devices work with the app?
The minimum OS requirements are the following:
– Apple: iOS 12.2 – iOS 15
– Android: 5.0 (Lollipop) – 12.0 (S)

When and why do I sometimes leave the app?
Occasionally you might find yourself leaving the app after clicking on a link, this is because the link is navigating to non-Premium content that is only available outside of the app.

Why can’t I log into the app?
Please ensure you have purchased the Web & App Subscription that includes access to the app. If you have the standard Digital Subscription you will not have access to the app and will need to upgrade in “MY ACCOUNT” > Decanter Premium Subscription > My Subscriptions or contact us.
